Generate Encryption Keys

How SipherMail handles encryption keys

Automatic Key Generation

When you create a SipherMail account, encryption keys are automatically generated for you. These keys are used for:

  • • End-to-end encryption of your emails
  • • PGP compatibility with other email providers
  • • Secure message signing and verification
Viewing Your Keys
  1. Go to Settings → Encryption Keys
  2. Your public key is displayed and can be shared with others
  3. Your private key is encrypted and stored securely
Security Note

Your private key is encrypted with your account password and never stored in plain text. Only you can decrypt and use your private key. If you lose your password, you'll need to use your recovery codes or backup to restore access.
